Presented in a 42mm stainless-steel case, it offers strong wrist presence while retaining the refinement and attention to detail associated with Cartier.
This particular example features an elegant silver dial with Cartier’s signature Roman numerals and a beautifully balanced combination of polished and textured finishes. The oversized Roman numeral XII immediately draws the eye, while the small-seconds display at 6 o’clock and date aperture at 3 o’clock add both visual balance and everyday functionality. Blued-steel hands provide a classic Cartier contrast against the silver dial.
The 42mm stainless-steel case is characterised by its sculpted profile, broad bezel and distinctive crown set with a blue synthetic spinel cabochon. The combination of brushed and polished surfaces gives the watch a sophisticated appearance while emphasising the architectural quality of the Calibre de Cartier design.
At its heart is the Cartier Manufacture Calibre 1904-PS MC, a self-winding mechanical movement developed and produced in-house. Featuring twin barrels for improved consistency of torque, the movement offers approximately 48 hours of power reserve and represents an important chapter in Cartier’s development as a manufacture of mechanical movements.
