The IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Ref. Presented in a substantial 43mm stainless-steel case, the watch has the strong wrist presence associated with IWC’s Pilot’s collection while remaining well balanced for everyday wear. The case combines polished and satin-finished surfaces, with prominent chronograph pushers and the characteristic oversized crown reinforcing its functional aviation-inspired design.
The black dial is exceptionally legible, featuring bold white Arabic numerals, luminous hands and the distinctive triangular orientation marker at 12 o’clock. The chronograph incorporates a 30-minute counter at 12 o’clock and a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock, while running seconds are positioned at 9 o’clock. The practical day-and-date display at 3 o’clock completes the classic Pilot’s Chronograph layout.
Powering the watch is the automatic IWC Calibre 79320, a proven mechanical chronograph movement operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and providing approximately 44 hours of power reserve. The movement is protected by a soft-iron inner case, providing additional resistance against magnetic fields in keeping with IWC’s professional pilot-watch tradition.
The dial is protected by a convex sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides, specially secured against displacement caused by sudden drops in air pressure. Water resistance is rated to 6 bar, providing additional practicality for everyday use.
