The black dial creates a particularly striking appearance, featuring Cartier’s signature oversized Roman numeral XII together with a combination of applied hour markers and a clearly defined minute track. The small-seconds display at 6 o’clock adds visual balance to the dial, while the date aperture at 3 o’clock provides practical everyday functionality.
The stainless-steel case is characterised by its sculpted profile, broad bezel and distinctive crown, which is set with Cartier’s signature blue synthetic spinel cabochon. Alternating brushed and polished surfaces highlight the architectural construction of the case and give the watch an elegant contrast between its sporting and dressier elements.
At its heart is the Cartier Manufacture Calibre 1904-PS MC, a self-winding mechanical movement developed and manufactured in-house. This particular example is fitted to the original stainless-steel bracelet, giving the watch a more substantial and sporting character.
