The TUDOR Black Bay Pro Ref. M79470-0001 is a purpose-built GMT tool watch that combines the rugged character of the Black Bay collection with a compact, vintage-inspired design. Presented in a beautifully proportioned 39mm stainless-steel case, it has a strong explorer aesthetic while remaining exceptionally versatile for everyday wear.
The domed black dial is defined by TUDOR’s signature Snowflake hands and highly legible luminous hour markers. Its most distinctive feature is the angular yellow 24-hour Snowflake hand, which provides a bold visual contrast while displaying reference time. A date aperture at 3 o’clock adds practical everyday functionality.
Surrounding the dial is a fixed 24-hour graduated bezel crafted from satin-brushed stainless steel. Unlike the rotating bezel of the Black Bay GMT, the fixed steel bezel gives the Black Bay Pro a more purposeful expedition-watch character and works in conjunction with the yellow 24-hour hand to display a second time zone.
At its heart is the TUDOR Manufacture Calibre MT5652, a COSC-certified self-winding mechanical movement with an integrated GMT architecture. The independently adjustable local hour hand can be moved forwards or backwards in one-hour increments, with the date synchronised to the local time. The movement provides approximately 70 hours of power reserve.
The watch is fitted to TUDOR’s riveted stainless-steel bracelet with polished and satin-brushed finishing. The T-fit rapid-adjustment clasp allows the bracelet length to be fine-tuned without tools, adding considerable everyday practicality. A domed sapphire crystal and 200 metres of water resistance complete its robust specification.
